NORWICK B.H. GOODSPEED

President and CEO

Wick has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of FlowCardia, Inc. since March 2004, when he joined the Company. From May 2000 to January 2004, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of TransVascular, Inc., an interventional cardiology company acquired by Medtronic, Inc. in September 2003. From June 1997 to May 2000, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Ocular Sciences, a publicly traded contact lens manufacturer. Previously, Mr. Goodspeed served as President of McGaw Inc. (a manufacturer of I.V. Solutions and a subsidiary of Ivax) and President and Chief Executive Officer of Vical, Inc. (a gene therapy company). Earlier in his career, Mr. Goodspeed held executive positions with BOC Healthcare and Baxter. He holds an MBA degree from Stanford University and a BA from Yale University.

HENRY NITA

Founder & Chief Technical Officer

Henry founded FlowCardia in 2002 and served as CEO until March, 2004. Since that time, Henry has served as Chief Technical Officer for the Company. Prior to founding FlowCardia, Henry was Vice President of Research and Development at PercuSurge, Inc., a company developing pioneering cardiovascular distal protection devices, which was acquired by Medtronic in 2001. Earlier in his career, Henry was Vice President of Research and Development at Target Therapeutics (a manufacturer of interventional neuro-radiology devices which was acquired by Boston Scientific in 1997) and also held management positions with Baxter International's Cardiology Division, which was acquired by Guidant in 1995. Henry has been awarded with over 50 US patents, with several pending. He received his MSME and BS in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnical University of Wroclaw, Poland.

DEBORAH DEFILIPPO

Chief Financial Officer

Deborah joined FlowCardia in May, 2008. Deborah has over 23 years of experience in finance, including over 18 years in the medical device industry with Guidant Corporation and related companies. Prior to joining FlowCardia, Deborah served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Business Development for the Cardiac Surgery division of Guidant Corporation. Deborah was appointed General Manager for Guidant-AFx and led the integration of AFx (post acquisition) into Guidant’s cardiac surgery business. Deborah served as the General Auditor and Chief of Business Reengineering for Guidant after its split off from Eli Lilly and Company. Deborah was the Director of Finance and Information Systems for Devices for Vascular Intervention, Inc. from its inception through the acquisition related earn-out period with Eli Lilly and Company. Deborah started up the information systems consulting practice for Frank, Rimerman and Company CPA’s and was a Senior Auditor with KPMG. Deborah holds an AB from Stanford University and is a licensed CPA in the State of California.

CHRISTOPHER BARYS

Sr. Vice President, Sales

Chris comes to FlowCardia with over 18 years of experience in the medical field. Specifically, 13 years have been in the interventional space. Most recently Chris comes to FlowCardia from Edwards LifeSciences where he held two senior positions. In early 2005, Chris held the position of Vice President of Leadership Development and was directly responsible for the development and implementation of a brand new initiative within the Edwards corporate culture — Leadership Development and Sales Force Effectiveness. In early 2006, Chris was appointed to Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Peripheral Vascular Systems business for Edwards where he had broad responsibility for the fastest growing franchise within the company. Responsibilities included global strategic planning, tactical marketing and sales planning with full P&L responsibility, marketing promotions and continuing medical education. Previously, Chris held senior Sales and Marketing positions at Johnson & Johnson's Cordis Cardiology division, Boston Scientific's Vascular Division and U.S. Surgical. Most notably, under Chris' leadership as Director of Sales at Cordis Cardiology from 2000 – 2004, Chris built and implemented one of the strongest performing sales channels in the space which drove sales from approximately $285 million to over $1.3 billion. Chris received his BS degree in Marketing from Northern Illinois University.

RICH SPANO

Vice President, Operations and Quality

Rich has been with FlowCardia since its inception in April of 2002. He is responsible for Operations, Quality and OEM electronics. Rich has over 18 years experience in the medical device industry at firms ranging from small startup ventures to large, industry leading corporations. He began his career in medical devices at Advanced Cardiovascular Systems, a division of Guidant Corporation, where he served in various engineering and supervisory level positions from 1988 to 1995. From 1995 to 1997 he developed the quality system and served as the Quality Manager at KeraVision, a vision correction company. From 1997 to 2002 he held director level positions in Quality Control, Materials, Manufacturing and Operations at PercuSurge, which was acquired by Medtronic in 2001. In these capacities, Rich has been successful in effectively directing a wide range of activities required to bring device technologies to approval and subsequent market release. He holds a bachelor's degree from San Francisco State University and is certified as a Quality Engineer, Biomedical Auditor and RAC Regulatory Affairs Professional.

JEFF SARGE

Sr. Director, R&D

Jeff accepted the role as Director of Research and Development with FlowCardia's founding team in 2002. He currently has over 15 years of design and product development experience in the medical device industry, and has successfully driven several innovative catheter based technologies from concept to commercialization. Prior to joining FlowCardia, Jeff was a R&D Engineer and Manager in the Neurovascular field with Target Therapeutics, and then with Boston Scientific Corporation following their acquisition of Target. Before that he launched his medical device career as a R&D Engineer with Abbott Critical Care Systems, where he was awarded his first of now 9 granted US Patents in the industry, with several others still pending. Jeff holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

DUSTIN MICHAELS

Vice President, Clinical, Quality and Regulatory Affairs

Dustin has served as the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Research since FlowCardia's inception in 2002. Dustin has a wide-ranging experience in the medical device regulatory and clinical arena. He has been instrumental in initial clinical testing and gaining commercial approval for several novel cardiovascular products including AAA stent grafts and distal embolic protection devices. Previously Mr. Michaels served in Regulatory and Clinical management roles at PercuSurge and AneuRx. Both companies have been acquired by Medtronic and their products remain within Medtronic's current product portfolio. Dustin holds a BS degree in Chemistry from Kent State University in Ohio.

MARK PAGE

Sr. Director, Worldwide Marketing and International Sales

Mark comes to FlowCardia with over a decade of medical device marketing experience. After spending 6 years in consumer and medical device sales, Mark made the transition to marketing with Kendall Healthcare's Anesthesia/Critical Care division based in Mansfield, MA. After a few years with Kendall Healthcare, Mark accepted a marketing opportunity with Boston Scientific's Cardiovascular division (SCIMED) in Maple Grove, MN where he was globally responsible for a line of market leading angioplasty balloons and later, several NIR(TM) coronary stent platforms. For the past five years, Mark worked as a Group Marketing Manager for Boston Scientific / Neurovascular (Target Therapeutics) based in Fremont, CA. and was responsible for the GDC and Matrix Detachable Coil lines as well as the Neuroform Microdelivery Stent System. The Neuroform was the first self-expanding stent indicated for intracranial aneurysm repair. Mark graduated with a BS in Marketing from Fairfield University in Connecticut.
